Conchman is staged in Lucaya amidst wide boulevard streets and
crystal waters in our beautiful tropical paradise Grand Bahama Island.
The entire community shares in this non-profit event from children to
adult participants and the large group of volunteers who help make it
all happen. Join us this November 7th, 2009 for fun and competition in
this our 23rd Annual Conchman Triathlon.

this our 23rd Annual Conchman Triathlon.
Swim (1km 2/3 mile) : In deep water parallel to shore. Supervised and
patrolled by BASRA (at least 3 boats). Water temperature will be
between 70 and 80. Wet suits may be worn. Start will be from the
beach (standing in water). Wave (staggered) start. Finish will be onto
beach (sand) and across road to transition area.
Cycle (25km 15 miles) : Will be on excellent, smooth tarmac road
surface, though attractive surroundings on roads free from traffic. We
ride on the left. No support vehicles will be permitted.
No support personnel will be permitted in transition area. Helmets are
recommended.
Run (5km 3.1 miles) : On a separate route from the cycle ride. Water
will be available at several points along the course. The course will be
in a quiet residential area, on good surfaces.
